Know when an individual starts to get out of a chair.

Mats are placed on the chair and are very soft. They may be covered with a cushion but are more than comfortable enough to sit on without a cover. The system is air operated and monitors the change in pressure on the mat when an individual gets out of a chair. The system only activates when there is a significant pressure change therefore minimising false alarms. Activation only occurs when some pressure is taken off the mat and the individual transfers weight to their feet.

One benefit of the On chair monitor is that it can be moved easily between different chairs. Pager systems are battery powered and therefore could easily be taken on holiday. The system needs no mains power.

The mat incorporates a small circuit to make the signal suitable for standard call systems. The mat requires no batteries when plugged into a call system (Setup 1). The mat is also available as a complete pager system, either with the standalone pager (Setup 2) or the pager call system (Setup 3). An advantage of the pager system (as pictured) allows the chair fitted with the sensor to be moved without trailing wires.

The mat is 25X37cm in size and is approximately 4cm thick. It is also waterproof.

Setup1 - For use with an existing call system (setup1) we will need to receive an example of the call lead used with your call system to ensure compatibility of the sensor's adapter with your call system. This need only be done on your first order and your lead will be sent straight back to you.
