Senses movement over a desired area, ideal for corridor or large doorway.

The sensor works using the same infrared technology as the sensors used to turn on outdoor lighting. The sensor can be placed to monitor a specific area such as one side of a bedroom, a doorway or a hallway. The sensor can work in both darkness and light. This solution is more suitable where the path an individual might take is less predictable.
Our customers have used this system in a variety of ways where more conventional sensors, such as the pressure mat, would prove unsuitable.

The PIR Sensor is battery operated and needs no mains power. The transmitter box has a 3 month battery life. The sensor can be easily installed with the supplied velcro sticky pads and can also be screwed down.
